Lorne Groe recently left infoUSA, where he was the President of its Triplex database marketing division. He also served as the Vice President of Finance & Acquisitions – sourcing, executing and integrating all of infoUSA’s acquisitions. His 13 years of diverse M&A experience make him a frequent presenter at conferences, as well as to boards and managers, on pre-acquisition planning & strategy, valuation, due diligence and post-merger integration. His career path from technology investment banker to corporate development officer to the lead operations role in turning around a troubled acquisition, gives him a unique perspective on how to achieve successful acquisitions.
Lorne was the SVP and Head of the Software Investment Banking Group at Wells Fargo Securities. Prior to that, Lorne was with Robertson Stephens & Co. as an Associate with its Japan Technology Group completing venture/partnering deals and cross-border financing and M&A transactions. He frequently delivered presentations on the Internet and venture investing to some of Japan’s largest tech companies. Before joining Robertson, Lorne was a Senior Interest Rate Analyst at the Chicago Board of Trade.
Lorne lives in Piedmont, California with his wife Michelle and two kids. He is active in the community volunteering in his kids’ classrooms and at First Presbyterian Church of Berkeley.
